"Life is good, if we live in such a way to make it so.' . . . 'A good life' comes as a result of the way we do things, of the words we choose to say, and even of the kind of thoughts we choose to have... 'Wanting to' is the determining factor which leads us to lay hold upon the word of God and be happy. Perseverance in making correct decisions is what leads us to happiness." ~"True Happiness: A Conscious Decision," Ensign, Nov. 2005, 31~BenjamÃn De Hoyos

Amy’s Bridal Shower
A few weeks ago I got to go to Amy’s bridal shower. A little back ground on how we meet. A little over 2 years ago I work as a temple ordinance worker at the Dallas Temple and Amy start I think around September 2010 and that is how we meet, we both worked the Saturday evening shift. Then in October 2010 we meet again at a Single Adult Conference in Allen, Texas. Since than we have be friends.
Another little tidbit is Amber (my roommate) and I visited the Dallas 11th YSA Ward and ran into Amy there. It is a small world Amy and Amber grew up together in Washington. there family’s are good friends.
Sewing Projects
So about 8 months ago my brother helped move a family friend. That family friend gave away some of there furniture to my brother’s family. One item they received was a Kenmore Sewing Machine. Tanya my sister in law remember that I was interested in getting one. So they gave it to me. I took it in to a sewing shop here in McKinney to get serviced. Left it there for about 3 months till I had the money to pay for the service.
I was excited to start some projects. This was in December and than I fractured om y elbow. Projects out on hold. While visiting California for a month (while on leave) I went to JoAnn’s and low and behold pillow forms were on sale!! I pick up two 24x24’s, for I think $7 each! Once my arm healed in February. I made another trip to JoAnn’s here in Texas and picked up material for pillows! Here is the final project.
My next project wanted to be a baby blanket for my friend Sarah and lucky me I was invited to her baby shower. Let’s just say it didn’t turn out the way I wanted it too. But the way I ended up sewing it was much faster and easier then the other way. A great project for me a beginner!

Easter Sunday
3 Nephi 11:15-17
15 And it came to pass that the multitude went forth, and thrust their hands into his side, and adid feel the prints of the nails in his hands and in his feet; and this they did do, going forth one by one until they had all gone forth, and did see with their eyes and did feel with their hands, and did know of a surety and did bear record, that it was he, of whom it was written by the prophets, that should come.
16 And when they had all gone forth and had witnessed for themselves, they did cry out with one accord, saying:
17 Hosanna! Blessed be the name of the Most High God! And they did fall down at the feet of Jesus, and did aworship him.
On a lighter note…we have a few tradition that have been pasted down from we were kids. I went to David and Tanya’s the day before (Saturday) and dyed eggs.
and don’t forget the dreaded most exciting kids pictures with the Easter clothes.
